Miss Shak has worked with children as young as infants and as old as high school seniors. As a young girl, she volunteered at her mother’s daycare, becoming a preschool teacher’s aide at the age of 18. For several years, Miss Shak taught at youth summer camps which cemented her love for children and the great outdoors.
Miss Shak is a very health conscious and athletic young woman. She was awarded the Jackie Robinson Award for star scholar athletes and earned her BA in Psychology while working as a youth volleyball coach. After college, Miss Shak became a trained professional massage therapist before beginning her seven years as a kindergarten teacher in a local private school.
Miss Shak’s fun and lively disposition makes her a favorite at Learning Pathways. She loves to travel for good eats (a true foodie at heart) and she roots loudly every season for her beloved San Francisco Giants.
