Meet Miss Betsy
Miss Betsy Teacher
Miss Betsy is originally from San Diego where she studied Liberal Arts at Palomar College. While in school, she worked for a successful nanny company that sent her up and down the southern California coast working with children ages three months to twelve years old.

Miss Betsy takes every opportunity she has to travel and see the world through the eyes of others. Before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, she spent a few months abroad volunteering in several schools in Indonesia.

Miss Betsy’s travels took her through impoverished regions of numerous countries. These experiences helped her to learn how to implement empathy in her lessons and to better understand and appreciate cultural diversity.

Miss Betsy greatly enjoys the diversity that our school provides for both herself and her students. Since she joined Learning Pathways in April of 2015, she has focused on developing a creative attitude when teaching, while providing a warm and nurturing environment.

Miss Betsy is a nature enthusiast who enjoys everything from rock climbing, to body surfing, to backpacking. Explaining the importance of taking care of and appreciating nature is very important to her, especially to the curious preschoolers in her care.

Miss Betsy has taken all of the necessary ECE courses at West Valley College and is a fully qualified preschool teacher.
