Miss Cynthia knew from a young age that she wanted to become a teacher. She was inspired by how caring, understanding, and patient her kindergarten teacher was. Cynthia strives to provide her students with love and empathy. She believes that truly understanding a child's emotions and listening to them will allow them to feel more comfortable and excited to learn.
Prior to joining Learning Pathways, Miss Cynthia worked as a Behavior Therapist with children on the autism spectrum for 3 years. She found the job to be very rewarding since she was able to help her clients achieve goals that would be useful life skills. While working part time as a Behavior Therapist, she earned her BA in Child and Adolescent Development with prep for teaching at San Jose State University.
During her free time, Miss Cynthia enjoys shopping for vinyl records, watching movies, and spending time at the beach.
